had no idea how powerful it would be, whether it would have side effects, or whether it might kill the person who took it. Naturally, he could not say any of that aloud. Otherwise, Granny Zhu would certainly have come after him with murderous intent. From the distant forest came the sound of Shen Mu's roar. Then tree after tree toppled, accompanied by a succession of thunderous crashes. The corner of the Alchemist's eye twitched. "He will be fine. Do not worry. Listen to him. He is full of vigor now." The Blind Elder sighed. "The young really are bursting with energy." In the mountains and forest, Shen Mu raced through the trees. His fists and feet moved as swiftly as lightning, and he struck and kicked wildly at one great tree after another. A tree that would have taken two men joining hands to encircle could withstand no more than three punches and two kicks before he smashed it apart. It was unbearable. Far too unbearable! The medicinal power of the Alchemist's Essence-Consolidating Pill was simply too ferocious. Even while running and circulating the Profound Body Three Elixir Technique, Shen Mu could not dissolve it. His body felt as though it had been inflated to the point of bursting, so he could only unleash the martial arts taught to him by the Lame Elder and Grandpa Ma, frenziedly venting the excess medicinal power. Within his spirit soul divine abode, the tiny human-shaped spirit embryo was also inhaling and exhaling wildly, drawing in the surging primordial qi and refining it into purity. Even that tiny Shen Mu was exhausted to the point of gasping for breath. "You little runt, die!" Suddenly, the mountains and forest shook. A Dark Ape that had been driven into a rage rose from among the trees, roaring furiously. Its fists, as large as small hills, slammed viciously toward Shen Mu, who was wreaking havoc through the forest. The medicine had clouded Shen Mu's mind, and he had unknowingly entered the Dark Ape's territory once more. When the Dark Ape saw that the intruder was this same little runt again, it was the very sight of an old enemy, and its fury burned all the hotter. Without another word, it attacked Shen Mu. Shen Mu's eyes were bloodshot. He suddenly raised his head as the medicinal power within him erupted wildly, making all his primordial qi seem on the verge of exploding. Then he leaped into the air and punched toward the Dark Ape's fist. Boom! A dull, thunderous impact rang out. Shen Mu was sent flying backward, smashing through several trees in succession. The Dark Ape bounded toward him in high spirits, raised a leg, and swept it across. Its thick leg was like a black pillar rolling toward Shen Mu, who had only just landed. Shen Mu roared and, in an instant, kicked out countless times. Each kick struck the junction between the immense muscles and great tendons of the Dark Ape's leg. The Dark Ape immediately felt the strength vanish from its leg and, without hesitation, drove a fist down from above. Shen Mu raised his arms to block it and was once again beaten staggering backward. The Dark Ape closed in. Its fists and feet tore through the air with a whooshing sound, whipping up wave after wave of violent wind as it attacked Shen Mu. Shen Mu seemed to have gone mad as well, meeting the strange beast blow for blow. Even when he fell into a disadvantage, he showed not the slightest fear. The Dark Ape grew ever more furious and became frenzied as well, raining punches and kicks upon Shen Mu, each blow heavier and more sluggish than the last. One man and one ape, one huge and one tiny, tore through the forest. Trees toppled wherever they passed, and rocks burst apart and flew in every direction. Suddenly, Shen Mu leaped as lightly as a bird and sprinted along the Dark Ape's arm. In the next instant, he had reached the creature's face. Ten Thousand-Armed Vajra! His two arms seemed to become a hundred, perhaps a thousand. Blurred afterimages filled the air as a hundred fists hammered continuously into the D
