But the disc at once split outward with a ringing clang, and there emerged the thirty-six Great Daos of Yuandu, shaping the most ancient form of the Yuan Realm. These were thirty-six divine weapons, in forms as varied as dragons, phoenixes, mountains, marshes, rivers, hills, streams, cauldrons, pagodas, and towers!
Each of these divine weapons possessed matchless might, brimming with a vast and ancient Dao power; any single one of them, carried out into the world, would be enough to subdue an entire realm!
Forged from the mightiest treasures of the Ancestral Court, such divine weapons were naturally no small matter! The disc split outward once more, and with several ringing notes the forty-nine heavenly Daos emerged, taking the forms of forty-nine heavenly treasures — the cord, the seal, the umbrella, the abyss, the .

, the rope, the tally, the palace, the gate, the well, and other such things!
The disc split again, and beyond the heavenly Daos it formed the Great Daos of Youdu, sixty-four forms of Youdu divine weapons — talismans, boats, masks, whips, horns, eyes, kui-beasts, passes, lanterns, fire, and more, each unlike the others. And the disc split yet again, taking the form of the constellations of the celestial sphere, more intricate still and mightier yet!
This was his Myriad Dao Heavenly Wheel! Kaihuang thrust a sword forward; Celestial Master Hao raised his hand to block, and a terrifying tremor instantly slammed through the whole Heavenly Court!
By now Shen Mu and the others had already burst out through the Southern Heavenly Gate, far from the Heavenly Court, when suddenly a dreadful tremor rolled through heaven and earth, reaching their ears yet seeming to rise from the very heart of their Dao, as though something there had collapsed!
Shen Mu abruptly turned and looked back, and at once beheld a scene that struck him dumb.
Within the Heavenly Court, incomparably splendid light was rising from the Lingxiao Hall, like a many-hued cloud radiance.
At the same time, from beneath the Heavenly Court as well, brilliant cloud radiance rose up. The radiance stretched farther and farther, centered upon the Lingxiao Hall, creeping toward the Eastern Heavenly Gate and the Western Heavenly Gate!
Nor was that all: wherever the light reached, the Heavenly Court gave off earth-shaking booms, and one divine palace and divine hall after another split apart, cleaved in two!
Shen Mu's scalp went numb as he watched.
This splitting would soon spread to the Western and Eastern Heavenly Gates, and when it did, the Heavenly Court would be rent into two halves!
The radiance spread with incredible speed, and faster and faster still.
At last the Western Heavenly Gate shuddered and gave a great crack, and the gate split open!
And when the radiance reached the Eastern Heavenly Gate and was about to tear it apart as well, in that very moment Celestial Master Xiao suddenly appeared there, bellowed thunderously, and checked the splitting!
Even so, for every deity in all the world who had cultivated into the divine realm and opened their heavenly palace, an earth-shaking tremor resounded in their minds, as though something had cracked!
Almost in the same instant, they raised their heads and looked toward the Heavenly Court.
Some of these divine beings did not even know where the Heavenly Court lay, yet their gazes turned as one toward it, for that sound had come from that direction! That tremendous crash entered not only their minds but the very heart of their Dao, as though the heart of their Dao had split!
The Heavenly Court now resembled an open mouth, filling all who beheld it with a sense of boundless absurdity and grotesquerie. The Heavenly Court, symbol of the Heavenly Emperor's supreme authority, had actually split open like this!
